Women & Islamic Cultures Family, Law and Politics take the time to respectfully and gratefully acknowledge those who have contributed to its ongoing produc- tion. We continue to be indebted to Brill for its investment in what has turned out to be a much larger and longer-lived project than any of us antic- ipated when EWIC was first conceived in 1994. Sam Bruinsma, the Business Unit Manager for History and Olaf Köndgen, the Islamic Studies Editor at Brill, have gone out of their way to pro- vide support for EWIC, including adding the staff support services of Ingrid Heijckers who has signif- icantly improved the efficiency of EWIC produc- tion. Isabella Gerritsen has loyally worked as EWIC’s traffic director at Brill since 2001, manag- ing correspondence and the flow of articles be- tween authors, editors, and Brill. Margaret Owen has done a magnificent job as Copy Editor.
