Junior Battle went to San Jose State University on a full scholarship. Jason Lyle went to San Diego State University. Timo Cruz attended Humboldt State University where he became a starting guard. Worm (whose real name is Jaron Willis) received a scholarship to San Francisco State University where he played point guard for four years. Kenyon Stone attended Sacramento State University and received a degree in Communications. Damien Carter went on to break the Richmond High School scoring and assist records previously held by his father. Upon graduation, he attends the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

One is a Hall of Famer in Arena League Football. One played for the Oakland Raiders for a few years. One played several years of professional basketball overseas. Others played various sports in college. Some did not pursue sports at all after hish school. I can verify this because one of them is my brother and I am friends with all the former players.

None of the players coached by Coach Cater may have made it, but one player from the movie did, Ty Crane aka Tyson Chandler did make it into the NBA

none of the players except damien carter are their real names. if you ever watch the bonus features in the movie the real players talk about the movie.

it tells u at the end of the movie…i think a few of them went on to play collegiate basketball but I do not believe they ever played in the NBA!
