The Tempest is the name of a play by William Shakespeare around 1610-1611, and according to many literary critics, this is the last work Shakespeare wrote alone.
The main setting of the play is on a deserted island with only Prospero, who is the legal duke of Milan, living with his daughter Miranda. They were exiled by Antonio, Prospero’s brother, who had conspired with Alonso, the king of Naples, to harm Prospero and usurp the throne. Throughout the play is the development of Prospero’s machinations to regain his lost power and find a way to bring Miranda to Aldin’s son Ferdinand, so that she will become the queen later.
