The hardcover and audiobook versions of Mockingjay were published by Scholastic on August 24, 2010, six days after the ebook version went on sale. The book sold 450,000 copies in the first week of release, exceeding the publisher’s expectations. It received a generally positive response from critics. The novel was adapted into two films. The first season was released on November 21, 2014, while the second season was released on November 20, 2015.
As soon as this book was folded, my emotions swelled up, I couldn’t help it, so I wrote a few lines. It must be said that this is the most “brutal but sentimental” episode in the trio of Hunger Games. Perhaps Gale, Katniss, Peeta, and even Prim will live forever in their memories.
Boggs, Finnick, Prim, and everyone died in agony. Not under the meat grinder were the moths, especially Prim’s final death – becoming a burning torch that shook me. Most heartbreaking is that Gale and Katniss could not return to what they were before.
