The City of Ember is for teenagers. I accidentally placed a library of this work and when I opened the first page I read the last page last night. The story takes place in the city of Ember, where there is no sun, no moon, no stars. The people of the city life only to live, and maintain the old, ragged city. With such a gloomy background, the two main characters make a great “break out”.
