The desert, a cruel, bleak place, full of black, glittering sand and fiery sun. I wandered the barren dunes for hours, squinting against the glaring sun, searching for buildings, people, anything. But no life unveiled itself. Black sand pricked my eyes as the wind blew with a furious rage, covering my tracks, along with any chance of finding my way back home.
