Machinery’s Handbook for machine shop and drafting-room; a reference book on machine plan and shop practice for the mechanical architect, artist, toolmaker, and engineer (the full title of the first release) is an exemplary reference work in mechanical designing and reasonable workshop mechanics in a single volume distributed by Industrial Press, New York, since 1914. The main release was made by Erik Oberg (1881–1951) and Franklin D. Jones (1879–1967), who are as yet referenced on the cover sheet of the 29th version (2012). Ongoing versions of the handbook contain parts on math, mechanics, materials, estimating, toolmaking, fabricating, stringing, cog wheels, and machine components, joined with passages from ANSI norms.
