The short story “Harrison Bergeron” was first released to readers in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, October 1961. In 1968, Kurt Vonnegut reprinted the Welcome to the Monkey House short story volume, by Delacorte. Press is published in New York, and since then “Harrison Bergeron” has been republished in dozens of American literary anthologies. This is one of the most famous short stories by Kurt Vonnegut, recorded in the high school curriculum in America, and is the basis for the creation of the 1995 TV series “Harrison Bergeron” with director Bruce Pittman, and the actors.
