A Tale of Two Cities, first published in 1859, is a novel by writer Charles Dickens , written by him before and during the French Revolution. With a circulation of over 200 million, this book is among the most famous works in the history of world literature.
The novel A Tale of Two Cities tells the life of the peasantry and aristocracy of France in the years before the revolution. In the early years of the revolution, the book told about the brutality of revolutionaries with the old aristocracy. Through the re-enactment of the lives of several characters through events, the novel, consisting of 45 chapters, was first published in April 1859.
